Introduction to the
Canvas Rug a/k/a Floorcloth

Hobbyville Canvas Rugs are constructed with heavy cotten duck canvas, 2 coats primer on each side. Sanded and then a color base coat is applied followed by the creation of the design. The canvas rug hem is glued and allowed to dry for 24 hours. The design is then sealed with a minimum of 6 coats of polyeruthene finish and 2 coats for the back of the rug. This is allowed to cure for a up to 3 days.

I do NOT apply the rubber coating to the back of the canvas as this deteroates in a few months. Just don't treat it like a flying carpet.!! Yikes ! Like my Mom always said ' walk don't run'. lol

All canvas rugs are priced per square footage. The majority of the artwork is handpainted and not stenciled.

Placemats and Runners are priced at a flat rate.

Your rug will last for years to come with proper care. Although the rugs and tableware are water proof they should never be submerged in water. Clean with a damp cloth. The placemats and table runners are not hotplates and only dinnerware should be put on them.

If after a years of having excess traffic and you notice the finish not as shiny as when you bought it, you can apply one or two coats of water-based polyeruthene finish to the top of it.
